Cybertruck Delivery Event, Austin, Texas
Introduction
Welcome to the Elon Club site, where I bring you an exclusive report from the recent Cybertruck Delivery Event at Tesla Giga Factory in Austin, Texas. This article gives an overview of this unique event and my personal experience as a participant.
The trip to Austin
My journey started with a flight from Prague to Austin. The day before the main event I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Tegtmeyer (@JoeTegtmeyer), known for his regular drone footage of Giga Texas. It was great to talk about his equipment and get an insight into the work he does.
Cybertruck Delivery Event (30 November 2023)
D-Day, 30 November 2023, was full of anticipation for me. On arrival at the Cybertruck Delivery Event I only got as far as the email check, where I was told that without a valid invitation I could not get in. It was strange to watch Tesla employees without invitations being comfortably let through. The experience was worth it anyway. After this disappointment I moved on to the Cybertruck After Party.
Cybertruck After Party
At the After Party, held near Giga Texas, a live stream of the main event was shown. I could follow what was happening on the main stage in real time together with other enthusiasts. The hosts of the Know You Know podcast, Zac and Jessie, guided us through the evening and passed on the information as it came out during the event.

The Cybertruck arrives
The highlight of the evening came when the Cybertruck itself arrived at the After Party. It was exciting to watch this revolutionary vehicle appear on the scene. Sandy Munro, the well-known automotive industry expert, was there and explained some of the specific aspects and features of the Cybertruck in detail, which was very educational for everyone present.
VIP section
Another highlight for me was getting into the VIP section, where I met a number of important influencers and event organisers. This gave me the chance not only to make valuable contacts but also to exchange ideas and opinions with key people in the Tesla community.
Driving a Tesla Model Y LR with FSD
During my stay in Austin I rented a Tesla Model Y Long Range with Full Self-Driving. Driving around the city and its surroundings was a completely new experience, although I noticed a few minor issues with the software version of the time, 11.4.7.3. I shared the results of my testing on YouTube, where you can see how FSD works in practice.
Conclusion
At the end of this extraordinary event I had the chance to meet several notable people from the Tesla world, including designer Franz von Holzhausen.
The Cybertruckin.EU project
During the trip I made contacts that we are now using to develop the Cybertruckin.EU project. The goal is to get a Cybertruck for the European market.
